For this assignment, I photographed and constructed a 1:20 model of my apartment building’s staircase. The white walls and cool-toned lighting aim to convey the atmosphere of a snowy mountain. I then re-photographed the model to imitate the atmosphere of a forest with dappled light. To achieve this, I put a forest image in the background, shone a flashlight through paper with holes in it, and added a tree trunk I made from hot glue. Finally, I created a stop-motion video showing a thunderstorm transition with a leaky roof using a bucket I made from cardstock.
