Pendant X is inspired by the precedent study System X Lighting by Ross Lovegrove. The project consists of two X-shaped modules, one transparent and one sandblasted for a frosted/translucent look. Each module is lit by four battery-powered LED lights hidden in their end caps. My central design concept focuses on celebrating the X shape in the round so the pendant’s form does not appear flat from any angle. The two modules hang fixed at 45° so that when viewed from the side, there is an additional X shape created by the two modules crossing over each other.
