ImagineNATIVE at Dupont

This design proposal for ImagineNATIVE transforms a portion of 1655 Dupont Street into a new media arts centre to showcase and celebrate Indigenous art by Canadians and International artists. Flexibility is a key interior design feature to host a range of functions, from screenings, presentations, to digital media arts in various scales. Visitors are led from intimate display spaces, to the art installation hallway, into the two storey volume that contain the common gallery and multi-use media space. Flexible spaces offer versatility based on the seasonal programming of viewing media arts on one's own, in small groups or watching a large screening as a large community.
