Interlocking House

From hospitals and factories to the cells in our body, interstitial spaces are environments made for movement and maintenance. Commonly thought of as the "space between," laneway homes can be viewed similarly. For my house, I decided to draw on this idea of interstitial space. To do this, I interlock masses together to create gaps in between. Contrary, these areas of movement and space will be highlighted as they are commonly hidden. These spaces will can be regarded as flexible spaces, or in other words, the interlocking of the program.
