Alto
In 3001, mankind discovered how to stabilize stars and harness their energy. Star generators were built on every planet as man expanded rapidly out into the galaxy. Now, millennia later, it is estimated less than 100 stars remain - nearly all in the possession of privatized energy giants or violent crime families. Any humans that remain outside of these groups live like Alto: on cold, desolate planets that were abandoned when their stars died, desperately scavenging for resources to survive. As the conditions on the dead planets grow increasingly hostile, their inhabitants are forced deeper into the old ruins.
