Kuti-r (Tiny Dwelling)

The choice of building materials and the way they are used in a space have a physiological and psychological impact on its inhabitants. The design emphasis has steered away from using natural materials and holistic design technologies to man-made ones that pollute the environment during production and after use. It is necessary to switch from the current throwaway culture in interior design to a circular design system that emphasizes on using waste as a favorable building resource rather than treating it at obsolescence. This project proposes a prototype for a modular tiny house built with bio-renewable natural waste with conscious considerations to the afterlife of the materials used. To design with natural waste means to provide a space that is conducive for human wellbeing and consequently minimize the environmental impact.
