The Haven Motel provides rooms that incorporate diffused natural light (the skylight)  and artificial lights to have a cozy space that prevents residents’ depressive symptoms while addressing the housing price crisis and food insecurity in the Niagara region. Also, the room utilizes acoustic insulations and plywood (NRC=0.8) to absorb sound, keeps privacy between rooms and uses seven pieces of custom storage furniture to use the limited space.
