Haven motel combines both short term and long term stay rooms, providing affordable housing to people that cannot otherwise afford a space to stay in. A wooden slat partition allows light into the space while also dividing the room into a bedroom and a kitchen + workspace. Since the rooms have a small square area, using the partition allows zoning in the room without closing off areas with walls. The slats extend into the ceiling in the bedroom area, creating a warm atmosphere for rest, and on the kitchen side, the wood extends into the floor to create a working zone.
