The focal point of “Connections and Reflections” is the hollow spaces connecting the various plaster forms that sit on the wooden structure. ¼” dowels lift the plaster blocks of the ground at multiple heights, emphasizing the verticality of the scaffold structure. Green ⅛” dowels form connection points between each piece, leading the eye to the points of reflection and where they were cut. The plaster forms are seated on individual stands with a blue top, highlighting the locations of each block so that when removed, the connection points can still be visualized through the use of colour.
