The Ball Eastaway Vantage Point

The main sight line identified in this case study model of the Ball Eastaway Residence is the view from the veranda to a tree. This sight line is crucial in the design of the space as the architect placed explicit emphasis on the connection of outdoors and indoors space, blurring them into a cohesive experience. The sight line connection focuses on a singular tree to appreciate the oneness the observer experiences when directing their focus on one element of the tangled jungle view. The north facing veranda offers a space of seclusion from the indoors and allows the observer to be fully immersed in the beautiful view of the lush bushlands in the Hawkesbury River area of Australia.
