This model showcases the critical details of an awkward corner featured in the case study of Go Hasegawa's House in Shakujii Koen. The home's winding staircase connects the first and second floor, as well as a bathroom situated in between. I took interest in the complex design of this corner located between the bathroom and second floor. The tread of the second step is at perfect level with the floor plane of the bathroom, but the odd half step entry into the space is quite unpractical in the flow of circulation and safety in this stairwell's compact design.
