Creature

Reminiscing the bespoke nature of Vezzini and Chen’s glass blown fixture, Forest of Light, this pavilion celebrates creatures of the water. A green base of entangled arms serve as the creature of the pavilion, while two interchangeable shells- one a light blue, the other a rich brown, create strikingly different atmospheres, evolving the creature through open and closed space. The molten sugar forms resemble the quality of blown glass and plastic, symbolizing the fragility of sea animals who become creatures when they wear the costumes of plastic waste. At night, the water-like texture is enhanced under an ultraviolet light.
