At the Haven Motel, liminal space is used as a space for transformation and self improvement and comfort in an unfamiliar place. This proposal will use affordable materials, maximize vertical space, and maximize light to make Haven Motel a space that feels comfortable for residents from all different income brackets.

The Haven Motel will have two room typologies: the first of which maximizes storage for short term stay, and the second of which emphasizes an open floor plan. In the communal spaces, there will be communal spaces for social activities, laundry, and leisure. Garden fixtures will be placed across the property both in and outside of the building.
