Pirouette Bubble

George Nelson's Bubble Lamp series influenced the Pirouette Bubble. This light fixture is commonly used as an accent piece hung above a table, chair, or bed and can be displayed in four styles: pendant, tripod, floor lamp, or wall sconce. Adjusting the original Bubble Lamp, the Pirouette Bubble uses more environmentally friendly materials. This prototype lamp is constructed of an interior steel wire wrapped in nylon coated in glue and acrylic paint, representing the milk fabric material used to build the real lamp. The Pirouette Lamp allows light to shine through its gaps, casting unique shadow patterns across the surfaces.
