With Arne Jacobsen’s AJ Royal lamp being used as the point of reference and departure for this project, Orgo is an imagined later iteration of the product. Straying away from the sleekness of the original aluminum and steel design, this luminaire utilizes hand-crafted fabrication techniques to create a product that is more organic in form and materiality, but produces a similar downward facing ambient light.
