This 1:30 detail model depicts the centre area of the Laneway House (Shim Sutcliffe Architects, 1992). The area modelled was chosen based on the dimensions of the skylight—a feature that allows light to enter, diminishing the darkness that would typically be found in Victorian era homes of similar dimension. The model explores the materiality of Venetian plaster, oak wood, and metal walls, including the interplay between their respective textures, colours, and form.
